The objective of the project carried out within the scope of the Civil Society Dialogue Between Turkey and the European Union CSD-VI Grant Programme is to contribute to the development of a sustainable civil society dialogue between Turkey and EU member states by increasing the knowledge and experience sharing at local, regional, national, and international levels. Yeşil Akademi, a complementary digital information providing platform with innovative educational materials for young people on Energy and Environment, was created in cooperation with non-governmental organizations and institutional stakeholders in European Union member states and Turkey who are experts in their fields.

Within the scope of the project, students between the ages of 15-18 worked with experts and educators to develop online training content in accordance with their level and the education system in Turkey. This application, which is a sustainable communication system at the same time, is being used as an open library where individuals, mainly young people can access up-to-date digital resources for their education, and have information about EU Energy and Environment policies.
It is aimed to contribute to Turkey's energy, environment and sustainable development policies, United Nations Sustainable Development Goals of Quality Education, Climate Action, Sustainable Cities and Communities,  and to increase the number of green-collar youth in line with the 2019-2027 EU Youth Strategy with the project, which can be replicated by national and international non-governmental organizations, educational institutions, private sector, public institutions and local governments.

The objective of the project carried out within the scope of the Civil Society Dialogue Between Turkey and the European Union CSD-V Grant Programme is to contribute to the sustainable dialogue established between non-governmental organizations in Turkey and EU member states by creating a carbon awareness point. “Zero Carbon Point Training Center”, where best practice examples on the adaptation of renewable energy sector components to daily life and the efficient use of natural resources are exhibited and activities that contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions can be seen on-site, was established in scope of the project.

The Center, which has the potential to create environmental and social impact by using education, which is one of the strongest elements of sustainable development, aims to train young leaders who think ecologically on climate change adaptation, understand natural systems and act together. An interactive training program was prepared with new generation training equipment on climate action, clean and sustainable energy, zero carbon economy, waste management, green economy, European Union Environment and Energy policies to be implemented in Zero Carbon Point Training Center. The management of the Center and the coordination of trainings are ensured by the Aegean Forest Foundation.

The objective of the project carried out within the scope of the Civil Society Dialogue Between Turkey and the European Union VI–Environment Grant Programme is to ensure the transfer and adaptation of studies on climate change mitigation, environmental protection actions and implemented practices in EU member states in accordance with the priority areas of Nature Conservation and Climate Action.

Within the scope of the project, studies and best practice examples in EU member countries on the calculation and certification of environmental footprints, especially for export-oriented products manufactured in Turkey, were transferred, and an eco-labeling system was established to reduce the carbon emissions (and potentially water use) of the products manufactured in İzmir in the chosen pilot sectors. The carbon footprint of the products manufactured in 5 pilot companies selected in 4 different sectors (printing-packaging, construction chemicals, cement, and glass) was calculated, documented and environmental footprint labels were created to reduce carbon emissions, promote the efficient use of natural resources and develop sustainable strategies. With this system, it is aimed for the Turkish industry to get a larger share from world exports by transforming into a structure that is sensitive to the environment and society and to change the preferences of corporate and individual consumers on reducing their environmental footprints through awareness-raising.
